The walls of the Alcazar of Seville

An angled view of the battlements of a terracotta-colored fortress wall against a clear blue sky.

The Alcázar of Seville is a fortified palace (alcázar) built in Seville by the Umayyads of Spain and modified several times during and after the Muslim period. It is considered the most brilliant example of Mudejar architecture on the Iberian Peninsula.
