June 2025: À la manière de…
From June 14th to 22th, the members of the Photo Club of Draveil had the renewed opportunity to host a photography exhibition.
The title was “À la manière de…” (which means “In the style of…”), and we collectively chose 8 artists to inspire us to create new photos for this exhibition:
- Tatsuya Tanaka's miniature photography
- Graffmatt's' Urban Kaleidoscope series
- Denis Brihat's photos shot in black and white and then toned with a variety of metals and pigments to get as close as possible to natural color
- Yasuhiro Ishimoto's HANA (“Flower”) series in black and white
- Brassaï's photos of Paris' dramatic nocturnal landscape, especially his book Paris la nuit
- Pep Ventosa's photography made of multiple exposure from different angles of the same subject
- Michel Follorou's abstract experiments with light, matter and color
- Sébastien Del Grosso's Black Series, black and white photos of urban landscapes with intense processing leading to a surreal effect
10 other Photo Clubs from our department (Essonne, France) also participated in this exhibition, with other selected artists.
Tatsuya Tanaka being one of the artists we selected, I decided to continue exploring the world of HO-scale miniature photography. Here are the 2 new photos I created for this exhibition:
